Patriotic Hangzhou Company Rewards Employees for Destroying iPhones

Patriotic Hangzhou Company Rewards Employees for Destroying iPhones
Jul 20, 2016 By eChinacities.com

Chinese people are expressing their anger with an international court ruling by smashing up symbols of the United States, including iPhones. A Hangzhou company is following the trend by paying its employees to give up their iPhones.

A notice from the company, Bina Industrial Co., Ltd. titled “Patriotism,” was posted online this past Monday. The company confirmed on Tuesday that the notice was real.

According to the notice, the company will pay its employees to replace their Apple iPhones with Chinese brand smartphones. Those who purchase an iPhone 7 will be fired.

“The main purpose of the notice is to ban employees from purchasing the iPhone 7. Replacing their old iPhones is not mandatory,” said a company shareholder. “We say: Let’s fall in love with ‘Made in China’ products. Currently Chinese brand smartphones are doing really well in the marketplace. Why do we have to be trendy and buy an over-priced Apple phone?”

Employees will receive 1,000 RMB for their iPhone 4 series smartphone, 1,500 RMB for their iPhone 5, and 2,500 RMB for their iPhone 6. Once the employee purchased a new phone they can send an invoice for the listed amount to the company’s finance department. When the reward is received, they must destroy their old iPhone.

The company shareholder said that Bina Industrial has more than 50 employees. The company reported that the majority of its employees use Xiaomi, Huawei, and Apple smartphones. However, Xiaomi and Huawei phones are much more popular than Apple phones. “We’ve already had about ten employees ask about switching phones, and five or six have filled out the forms.”

Well by that logic they should also smash up their computers seeing as they all run Windows made by America. Furthermore, don't all of these Chinese brands use Android OS, which is an Open Source project by Google. Perhaps you should take a hammer to those too. Not to mention all your GM and Ford Cars plus Nike trainers and your Xbox Ones. Right, so your way to show patriotism is to smash up your own or other Chinese people's person property? Damn, the idiots breed fast these days.

Keep being proud if your new garments (clothes), you naked king! I will laugh at that child's words while mocking him "the king is naked!" You people are making fools of yourselves. Add to it how we laugh at your king's pride. I hope some like that child in the story will say "enough is enough!" (For those who don't know what story is that about the king, it's called " the new garments of the king". Read it and you will see the shame you people are throug with all this masquerade. In this story the king relies and hopes for glory from his own people while diligently by its own in the power play him full with the beauty of his new clothes. Read it and see how by the end of it it is the crowd that keeps the shame as a standard and official image. Then, that child who screams: " The king is naked!" That is how we see the king into the open. Your new garments are nakedeness to your shame! More shame to cover your shame!

These types of hyped up stories are best not to be given much attention. Ask any random local person on the street and they would laugh it off as ridiculous.

as a common people in China, i think that's the easy way to express their anger to USA. Most Chinese people love China like most American people love their beautiful country.

Why should they be angry at the USA. They should be angry at their own government. They have no idea what's going on in the world. It's ridiculous.

This is so stupid. They bought the iPhone and also Apple has nothing to do with the court ruling. Stupid nongs. Might I add a legitimate court ruling. That part of the map is not yours you disgustingly patriotic idiots.
