In Zhejiang, Ningbo drivers are most likely to drive drunk according to a recent report. Surprisingly to many, luxury car owners are less likely to drive drunk than other car owners.

20,694 people were arrested for drunk driving in Zhejiang in 2014. The most were arrested in Ningbo, and the second most in Hangzhou (3,358). The city with the least drunk drivers was Zhoushan, with only 216. Analysis shows that wealthier, more developed cities, generally have a higher number of drunk drivers.

Drunk drivers are mostly arrested between the hours of 19:00 to 20:00, and 23:00 to 24:00.

In the past five years, vehicles from more than 50,000 Zhejiang drunk drivers were documented. 19.08 percent of drunk drivers drove Buicks, 12.68 percent drove Audis, 12.07 percent drove Toyotas, 12.07 percent drove BMWs, 9.07 percent drove Hyundais, 8.74 percent drove Mazdas, and 7.61 drove Volkswagens.

"Surprisingly to many, luxury car owners are less likely to drive drunk than other car owners." This isn't surprising really at all... consider the fact that the people driving these cars have money to bribe cops and manipulate guanxi to get out of a bad situation on being catch drunk and there you have it! What? Not realistic? It's China!

yea my wife's rich uncle drove home shitfaced drunk from a Spring Festival dinner last year and laughed when we told him police were doing random sobriety checks. He said he "knows people" and stumbled to his Range Rover. Typical.
