Tour Group of 20 Foreigners Arrested in Inner Mongolia
Jul 15, 2015 By eChinacities.com

A 20 person tour group was arrested at Inner Mongolia's Ordos Airport yesterday. 10 of those arrested are from South Africa.

The group had planned to spend 47 days traveling in China. The tour group also included nine Britons and one Indian national.

The Chinese side has said that some of the tour group members are linked to a terrorist group, and had watched a propaganda video in their hotel.

The South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation is currently working with Chinese officials to find the truth and provide support for the arrested South African citizens and their families.
