Associate Professor Exposed for Forcing Students to Give Gifts
Jan 07, 2015 By eChinacities.com

A female associate professor at the Minzu University of China that was exposed online for her extremely unprofessional behaviour, has posted a response on the micro-blogging site, Weibo.

Blog posts alleging that she formed QQ groups to force students into giving her presents, help her sell her books and take her out for meals began circulating this week. She responded to the accusations, saying that the students involved “often skip class”that they “don’t speak for everyone” and invited the school to investigate the incidents.

The university’s official Weibo page then weighed in, with an announcement that it would be investigating the allegations.

One student said that the teacher would often use class time to make students purchase and assist in the promotion of her self-edited ‘inspirational books’, whilst others claimed that she insisted on gifts for Christmas and Teachers’ Day and pressured students into helping her out with favors, one of which was buying a calendar for her mother.

I knew a teacher in my department that was sub-renting students to companies as "interns"... Fortunately, students spoke, the director fired that teacher without much pondering or ceremony.

LoL.... pretty much ALL teachers do this in China. They know their salaries aren't too great and they use side classes, extra materials and bribes-for-higher-grades to make more money. That's China. Big Surprise.
