Several customers of a branch of China Citic bank in Chengdu were confused on Wednesday when over 20 middle aged people started practicing Tai Qi in the bank.

However, this wasn’t a typical practice of the bank, as the Tai Qi session had actually been arranged by the branch in a bid to attract more elderly and middle aged customers. They even hired professional instructors. Because the weather outside was too hot, the class was moved indoors.
Staff insisted that the class was in no way disruptive as there was no music playing at the time.

A quiz on how well you know China. What is the real reason(s) the bank allowed the group to do that? (1). Somebody within that group has guanxi with the bank (2). Some opportunist in the bank saw another marketing/sales opportunity (3). A good Samaritan's act.
