Prosecutors in Fujian Province are investigating after a middle aged woman died whilst in police custody. The 59 year old, surnamed Pan, was taken in for questioning by the railway police.

Pan was under investigation for reselling rail tickets and was taken into custody after police searched both her and her daughter’s house. Her daughter, surnamed Wei, claims she saw her mother being taken to a detention centre from the railway police station at at around 18:00 on July 15.

That was the last time she saw her mother alive. At 21:00, Wei was told by police that her mother was receiving emergency treatment; by the time she arrived at the hospital she was told that her mother had died.

According to Wei, there were bruises on her mother’s body.

Prosecutors and police are investigating the incident.

clearly she beat herself to death. Similar to that guy a few years back that stabbed himself to death dozens of times all over. Chinese are good at killing themselves and making it look like others did it
