China retaliates: Netizens Support Changing American Embassy Address to ‘Snowden Road’
Jun 27, 2014 By eChinacities.com

The US House of Representatives recently voted to rename the road that the Chinese embassy is located on after jailed Nobel prize winning dissident Liu Xiaobo, meaning the address of the Chinese embassy in Washington D.C would be changed to No.1 Liu Xiaobo Plaza.

The provocative move has had international media outlets and commenters in a flurry, watching to see what China’s official response will be. CNN’s China correspondent, Steve Jiang, hit back by saying ‘Should we change the American Embassy’s address to No.1 Snowden Road?’

Amidst the controversy, Ifeng held an online opinion poll on what readers think about the suggested name change. Within 6 hours, over 10,000 people had replied, with 63 percent of netizens coming out in favour of changing the US embassy’s address to Snowden Road. Nearly 20 percent of people disagreed, saying it should be handled through the normal diplomatic channels and over 50 percent replied that they believe the US’s main motive behind the name change is to smear China’s international image.

I thought they talk of China as a ten year old, in fact the USH is a year less than China then. Yesterday a Chinese friend asked me, are there beggers in the US? Hahaha....
