China Publishes First Blue Book of National Security, Outlines Future Regarding Russia, Europe and US
May 08, 2014 By eChinacities.com

On May 6 the University of International Relations’ International Strategy and Security Research Center of National Security (quite a mouthful isn’t it?) released China’s first ever Blue Book of National Security. In said book, they outlined what they think China’s best future plan of action should be regarding Russia, Europe and the US in order to ensure the nation’s safety.

The three principles of the report are headed “United with Russia”, “Pull Europe” and “Stabilize the US”. Broken down this means that the book suggests China create a political alliance with Putin’s Russia, increase strategic relations with Europe and promote trade, and finally to create a mutually stable relationship between the world’s two super powers (China and the US) by way of respect and compromise, not confrontation.

These are all rather ideal scenarios and it remains to be seen if and how they will be implemented.

This would be the ideal situation, except that the US will never accept a super power rival to their insatiable quest for global domination. They will lie, cheat and steal to keep China thinking they WOULD accept it, while behind the scenes, they will continue to do everything they can to destabilize the country and promote ANYTHING to destabilize the Chinese economy. China wants peace in the world, yet this is impossible when your chief rival is, in every way, a war economy. My hope is China will realize this soon, and leave the US to find their own way, without Chinese assistance, because if the roles were reversed, the US would only be trying to oppress and dominate China... but they don't have the money.

Hainan is also not on it, and many more larger islands are not. this is to make the map more easy. They didnt just leave out one part due to uncertainty/disputes or such as you imply. and yes Hainan is roughly the same size as the island of Taiwan.

You have it the other way around, Mr. Hanson. Regardless of what the history books say (we all know who writes those), Taiwan is a part of the Mainland. Mao won, Cash-My-Check fled to Taiwan. It's as simple as that. It belongs to China a hell of a lot more than, say, Puerto Rico belongs to the US, although with Puerto Rico possessing rich resources, you won't see the US conceding to the demands of 70% of the Puerto Rican inhabitants who want their independence from their colonial rulers. Let the money and investment China has poured into Taiwan dry up, and you'll see who comes crying to who for assistance. I wasn't making a political statement, either, I was simply addressing the blatant hypocrisy of the US (and sometimes the world) when it comes to land disputes regarding any other country. And the official name of China is, in fact, the People's Republic of China. Check all of their official documents and websites.

No, I was referring to the PRC, which I thought you were referring to. I guess it was a misunderstanding. And i never inferred the Republic of China ceased to exist. But Taiwan has always been a part of China, and just because the loser fled there does not make a difference. That would be like America ceasing to exist when it lost the war in Vietnam. I fail to follow your logic. Regarding my native American ancestry, anyone trying to cause the instability to the US government or put them on another path, one towards peace, would be either shot dead by the CIA (JFK) or jailed on trumped up charges (Leonard Pelletier, Mumia Abu Jamal, etc). But it is like one of the great Lakota chiefs said just a few years ago: "The native American community does not have to do anything anymore. With the current path the US is on, The empire will fall very soon and our people will have their land back within our lifetime." Truer words were never spoken, except perhaps when MLK said "The greatest purveyor of violence today is my own government."

I'm not saying anything of the sort. This sort of thing is reprehensible whenever and wherever it happens. The exception I take to the US is that it has always (and still tries, in spite of the heroism of Edward Snowden) tried to portray itself as a nation of caring, concerned governors looking out for the safety and well-being of all the world. Where you can go and be free, have your privacy respected, and where you can speak your mind and not have to worry about the secret police hauling you away in the middle of the night. Nothing could be further from the truth, as the whole world now knows. The US is a police state, where the CIA, NSA, ICE, ATF, DEA, FBI, DIA, and Homeland Security, as well as a host of other state and local authorities can outright shoot you in the street without any sort of reprisal. The ARE watching (and storing) ALL of your electronic activity, down to what books you take out of the library. Yet, all the while, they continue to perpetuate the myth that the US is the "land of freedom and honor." China does not and has never portrayed itself as this kind of land, so trying to hold her up to the standard america has chosen to hold herself up to is where I draw the line. It is the hypocrisy of the US and it's history I am trying to draw to your attention, not how different or alike China is. We all know China is not the same place. What would be nice is if people would stop trying to compare your own country to China, because if you do that, you will always be disappointed.
