Zhengzhou Man Builds Small Electric ‘Lamborghini’, Faster Than a Scooter
Feb 19, 2014 By eChinacities.com

An elderly man in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, was spotted recently driving a small, electric copy of a silver Lamborghini. The man built the little speedster himself, which holds five rechargeable batteries, can run for up to 60 km, cost him around 5,000 RMB to construct and is faster than a scooter.

The car’s maker and owner, Mr. Guo, works on a farm and knows a little bit about cars. Although miniature, the car has a fully functioning sound system, indicators and a reverse function. Mr. Guo bought two Lamborghini emblems online for the steering wheel and the front of the bonnet. He says the only purpose of the vehicle is to go to nearby shops and take his children to school, he doesn’t plan on using it on long distance trips.

Although the local police support his cause, they have begrudgingly told him that he can no longer go on the open road with it as it doesn’t fit the requirements of a legal vehicle. They have, however, encouraged him to continue using it around the neighborhood and on his farm.

Always good to have a goal and a hobby. At least he can tell his neighbors, "Yeah I took my son to school in my lambo, that's how I roll!"

He knows very little about cars, I believe. Isn't it a little top-heavy when you want to turn a corner at 60kph?
