Have you ever wondered how you could get your child across China without taking them yourself and then wished that you could just mail them there. Well now you can, if you live in Qingdao that is. Qingdao’s long distance bus station now offers such a service. So for all those parents who are too busy to go home for the holidays but want their children to be with family keep reading.
There are a few requirements though, for safety of course. The child has to be between the ages of 5 and 12, the parents must fill in an application form, provide the departure and arrival stations, and the contact of information of the person collecting the child on the other side. Further, the collecting person needs to show their ID and give a 6-digit predetermined password in order to be able to take the child away with them. The children will be seated at the front of the bus and will receive constant supervision from the bus attendants and the driver.
We’ve heard of some interesting things you can mail in China, but never, ever children!

What's next on the programme? Idea...how about challenging police to uphold the law! Perhaps they could be offered an incentive, such as not having their salary deducted for exhibiting blatant disregard for their (presumably) sworn responsibilites.

About time. They do this in the states. If the child is underage they can ride an airplane with the stewardess as their guardian. Upon arrival, the person picking up the child has to show ID that matches the tags on them. I've done it a few times in my younger years.
