"Marriage is normally very complicated". Perhaps it is in China where it's considered a business transaction. However, for the rest of the normal world it isn't that complicated. It's based on love between two people, understanding and commitment.

Uh oh, here he goes again with the lying. You have a BMW?? Or you can get one?? I give you your own quote from your last posting. " I can get a 03 BMW in my home country for 25,000rmb and not have to sit in a traffic jam all day. " (http://www.echinacities.com/news/21-Year-Old-Prodigy-Gives-Away-BMWs-to-4-Top-Employees So you can???? Or you did?? Either Senior grammar made a caca or hes lying again. Since he doesnt even know his own job, im gonna go with the former. or neither. Seriously man, remember that comment I made about you being a goldfish and saying something one day, then the next flip flopping?? Well of course you dont. But this is a prime example. You waver back and forth more than a slut between a pornstar and a rich dude. How is your mom by the way??? ooooh! Snap! Bringin it back to the 90's!!

I wouldn't call myself "financially illterate". I just prefer to ride/drive my own vehicles, live in my own house and spend my time to the best it can be anywhere. I can always ship the car off to my home country and rent out/sell my apartment here in China... so meh. Finanaces are not a concern to me, I would glady pay a little more to have a comfortable life. Why would you want to come to China to suffer?

@laowaigentleman - I agree but a lot can change in 70 years (which is the lease). I doubt the government will just say... "Okay everyone! Hand in your homes!". More than likely, they will offer up some kind of compensation or allow you to extend it. Taking away everyone's homes without compensation is huge grounds for a revolution... and I think the CCP is learning that. Real estate prices are sort of fluttering where I am... neither really up or down. I am very aware of all of these financial risks and like you, I didn't want to invest a penny here at first. But then I realized, what's the point of spending time here if I am not going to do it on my terms... Sure, I want to make sure I have a good financial future but at the same time I don't want to sacrifice now for it (who knows could die tomorrow). @Vicky - if you are referring to my image (cause it is the only one in this thread besides Mike's car and coin's rabbit) then thanks, I appreciate it.

Guys, it's disarmingly easy to spot your made up stories. Just a piece of advice, life is not like your dumb TV dramas. Especially when you involve foreigners. Pouring random stereotypes won't cut it. Neither will comforting conclusions from partial data. You're not even trying.
