In terms of Natural Selection, the fact that Chinese people have no interest in each others' life or death is against them. Their staggering numbers and ability to thrive in toxic environments are factors in their favour, I guess. --- By the way, the woman in the photo looks bright and friendly. Nothing like the permed-hair, old or middle-aged women who extort their rescuers for money. What a damn shame.

I agree, with this obvious increase in pollution and people's lack of empathy... it is perplexing why any foreigners are still considering staying in China. It could have been my wife that passed out and died due to lack of support. I think we all know the answer in our hearts that it is VERY likely she could have saved if someone came to her aid sooner.
