Detained Farmer Was Released After Giving "Incompetence" Banner to Local Officials
Aug 23, 2016 By eChinacities.com

On August 22 in the afternoon, local reporters were informed about the release of Feng Yongjun, the man who gave the “Incompetence” banner to Santai County Government of Sichuan province as protest. The lawyer Shi Zongchu who represents Feng in the case confirmed his release and indicated that local prosecutor’s office decided not to press charges.

It was reported that Feng along with nine other farmers of the Huanglong Village had been filing complaints with township and county governments about their village reservoir being seriously contaminated. This was due to uncontrolled fertilization of water at local fish farms. Their complaints stretched several years without action from local authorities. Feng, understandably angry, personally delivered two “Incompetence” banners to both the township and Santai county government offices.

Feng was caught when delivering the protest banners and was initially detained by police under illegal protest and demonstration charges.

yes, only 3 cities in China have drinkable tap water and the crazy leader wanted his own water to drink when he visited the queen in England, what a crock of horseshit. China water is better than England, must be nice to live in a bubble of reality in another universe.
