Eleven Myanmar Men Caught Without Proper Immigration Papers in Nanjing

On August 16 at around 10 pm, Nanjing Pukou District Police successfully intercepted eleven men from Myanmar who were found without proper immigration papers.

Officer Han of the Nanjing Pukou District Police was conducting nightly inspections and had been doing routine checks on a coach with plates from Shandong. Officer Han noticed a group of men who looked sort of foreign sitting in the back. The men diverted their gaze and seemed sketchy. Upon questioning, the men were found to be fumbling and gesturing, which indicated to Han that they do not understand Mandarin.

Subsequently, the 11 men were asked to step off the coach as further checks were required. Upon examining the men’s belongings, several were found to have documents and books in Myanmar’s language in their possession. It was further determined that they crossed into China illegally. The men were then detained for further questioning.

I'm guessing China wasn't their final stop.

Holy Sheet! Myanmar must be a living hell! If China, yes China, is an "upgrade". Have I missed it on the news? Is Myanmar going through, drought, plague, famine and war at the same time? Poor people from Myanmar :(

This might have something to do with the Myanmar president coming to China this week. To show that Myanmar is weaker than China economically and relations are important. Improving their country is one step to stop immigrants invading China.

And this is news in China? We likely have several thousand people a day coming into the U.S. illegally. Many of them are Chinese. It's so common here, we wouldn't think of reporting it.
