A Chinese Tourist's Road Trip in the US Ended up with Being Surrounded by Gun-Wielding Cops

According to Hong Kong news sources, a Chinese family of three travelled to California for a vacation and had opted to drive around on their own sightseeing in spite of being nonchalantly unaware when it comes to local regulations on the road. They were spotted stopping in the middle of a freeway and then abruptly speeding up, which unequivocally attracted attention of the police. Sirens were sounded and a car chase ensued. Police eventually figured that the family was unintentional offenders and chose to “forgive and forget” this time.

According to the Hong Kong-based Oriental Daily news, it was reported on August 7 at 11:45 pm local time that San Diego Police found a Honda vehicle stopping suddenly in the middle of the freeway and then speeding away abruptly. The police sounded sirens and gave pursuit, requesting the car to stop through loud speakers. After a few minutes, the car was stopped by the side of the road and the police asked the passengers to step out.

A Chinese woman stepped out from the car in bewilderment and proceeded to speak with police. There was also a man and a small boy in the car. The family of three was scared to see themselves surrounded by police with their guns drawn. After questioning, it was learned that the offenders were a family of tourists from China and they were not very familiar with the different regulations on the road. They also did not know that they had to stop immediately after hearing police sirens, which gave way to the small chase. The police eventually decided not to bring charges.

After the incident, the small boy in the car started to bawl having been in shock. A policeman scooped him up in his arms and gave him a police sticker as consolation. The boy and the policeman high-fived and the intense moment turned heart-warming in that instant.

There are no rules driving in China. A red light means 'speed up'. People on crosswalks are low priority and a stop sign means absolutely nothing at all. They drive like they're in high speed bumper cars. Those U.S. police officers should have pressed charges and incarcerated them at least overnight to scare the bejeesus outta them. Ignorance of the law is no excuse in the U.S. And, yes, international driver's licensed are honored in the U.S. but not in China. What's up with that sh#t???!!! CHINA SUCKS! That's what.

Non Hispanic whites are a minority in California as of last year, Hispanics now run the state. The state is bound for glory and perfection now.

"The police sounded sirens and gave pursuit, requesting the car to stop through loud speakers." and still "They also did not know that they had to stop immediately after hearing police sirens, which gave way to the small chase." Either they were retarded or feigning ignorance. The latter is far more likely.

Sadly some Chinese are clueless drivers. In Australia we drive on the left side of the road and this is the result, a man in a wheelchair and the Chinese wife injured http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-08-02/tourist-escapes-immediate-jail-term-over-crash/7683916 The lawyer said: "He is a visitor to this country, he arrived the day before the accident and he's driving a car that was foreign to him, that was a right-hand-drive car and he drives a left-hand-drive car," he said. "He was required to drive on the left-hand side rather than on the right and he was in his comfort zone on the right-hand side of the road. "He's entitled to be driving, he's got an international driver's licence [but] putting a tourist on our country roads is like putting a 17-year-old who just got his licence in a V8 and sending them onto country roads."

And yet the US honors Chinese driving licenses as an international standard...whereas China refuses to accept international standards.

How did these ignorant useless peasants even get a car? They should have been fined with the vehicle impounded.

Oh thank god thank god thank god for the high five happy ending. That young boy won't be traumatised at all now because of the sticker and high fives. Tourists can keep visiting the US safe in the knowledge that the guns are only for show and for the real bad guys.
