Shanghai’s metro users will soon be able to download an app on their smartphones that allows them to report crimes and service issues, the Shanghai Daily reports. As soon as a passenger reports an incident, the nearest official or police officer will be alerted.

The app will increase vigilance on the subway, the Shanghai Shentong Group said, and will be trialed in December with 1,500 users. It will go into full affect for everybody to use starting next year.
