According to statistics, between September 1 and November 13, the Shanghai police has dealt with 50,000 cases of people driving electric bicycles without licenses. The Shanghai Traffic Police Department would like to send out a reminder that you need to register your vehicle and get a temporary license plate before Wednesday December 31.

Shanghai has started tightening up these measures on September 1. Fines range between 50 and 200 RMB for anyone who is caught breaking the rules.
