Disney has said that it will take action against China’s Wanda Group after versions of Disney characters including Snow White and Captain America were spotted at the opening of Wanda City theme park in Nanchang. Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that Disney is prepared to take action to protect its intellectual property rights.

“The non-Wanda characters were operated by individual stores within Wanda Mall. They do not represent Wanda,” said the Chinese company in a statement to Bloomberg.

Wanda City Nanchang first opened on May 28. This was the first Wanda City to open in China, according to Wanda CEO Wang Jianlin. The company plans to open 15 domestic and three to five foreign theme parks by 2020.

Wang Jianlin had previously challenged Disney on May 22 when he appeared on a CCTV financial program. On the show, Wang said the Disney should not come to China and that there are reasons to not be optimistic about Disney’s prospects in China.

Wang said that Shanghai with its hot summers and cold winters is not an ideal location for a theme park. He also said that Disney is merely “cloning previous products with no innovation.”

Wang added that he could not understand how Disney spent $5.5 billion on its Shanghai theme park and the he expects prices will be high for customers because of it.

I guess the CEO of Wanda was running around in the mickey mouse custome. Guess what? Next step: massive bribes of gov. officials to put Disney on the block list. Step 2: hire a lot of farmers to trash Disney and put some poison in their food. Step 3: Tell everyone that foreign companies are evil and the Chinese should protect their inventions. Best story is while is talk about the weather situation of Shanghai: Nanchang has pretty much the same climate conditions as Shanghai... what a fool. Monkey waving some money...
