Female Passenger Claims Foreigner Harassed Her on China Eastern Flight

Female Passenger Claims Foreigner Harassed Her on China Eastern Flight
May 18, 2016 By eChinacities.com

A female passenger complained to a stewardess on recent China Eastern flight that the foreigner sitting in front of her was watching indecent videos. The passenger said that this was harassment. The airplane staff immediately looked at the traveler in front of her and did not see any abnormalities.

The flight that day had no empty seats, and staff could not accommodate the woman’s request to change her seat. Flight staff took turns checking up on the woman and the situation to make sure nothing was happening and to see if they could offer any assistance. There were no issues on the rest of the flight.

The incident occurred on flight MU582 from Vancouver to Shanghai on May 10.

so my jetlag is over and now i can think again, first, there are no complaints by any passenger to the left or the right of the foreigner about watching porno (yellow film for chinese users). if you got up to get your luggage or go the toilet, you might notice the guy in front of you watching a porno, but it could be a sex scene in a long movie that you happen to catch, to prove porno, you would be deliberately watching for a few minutes standing up, assuming the foreigner is using headphones so you dont hear the moans of sexual pleasure. It is my opinion that this was a rather attractive lady by standards of chinese men, perhaps tall, very pale, no tits, that was interested in the foreigner and he dismissed her like a rabid dog and she wanted to get even and make a scene. nobody stands up and watches someone watching a video and nobody complained that was sitting next to him. I can not think of another explanation. some writers need to careful what they dont say in an article, sometimes you give away the story by omission.

that's just really stupid. First of all, who ever the person was using his phone/pad/computer isn't doing something harassing unless he directs it at a person. secondly, if someone wants to complain about something like this then hey ill be more than happy to supply the entire www with indecencies which take place inside china on a minute basis. where would you like me to start? shall we begin with the atrocity of environment? how about all the bullshit that we "visitors" to YOUR country have to put up with on a daily basis... haha its no contest this person who complained is a fool. seems that 99% of websites have a serious lack of innovation, style and mindsets because I haven't read anything good online in the past 3 years. everyone complains about all kinds of stupid stuff. its time to put away your childish thoughts and move onto something far more productive. for example. mind your own business and stop looking at my phone. Protecting your privacy is easy. when someone stares at your phone when you are using it just tell the hey PHUCK OFF works for me

If she wants to complain about indecent exposure, she can start with Chinese floppy beer bellies coming out these days.

He was on Youtube, Facebook & Twitter, having a fabulous time. She only had access to the permitted rubbish, and rightly annoyed.

A person would really have to strain to see what someone in the seat (high back mind you)in front of them is doing or looking at.Sounds to me like she wanted to do the harassing.

The-Final-Say

Another fine smear campaign of expatriates by a website meant for expatriates. I guess there isn't anything useful to discuss these days, such as floods in the South, Jack Ma chillin' in the States trying to boost his business as "No Counterfeit Compliant", newly built miracles of land in the waters off the coast, or various feel good stories of potato pickers and apple growers? Seems not. We need to be painted as suspect even when we did no wrong. All this, thanks to the newly created "Spy" cartoons being pasted around subway entrances that warn people about getting into relationships with "foreigners" who ask questions such as "What is your name?" and "May I have your contact information so we could have a dinner sometime?".

How could she see anything ? I can't accidentally see what the person in front of me is watching. So she tries to be nosy, doesn't like what she sees then tries to cash in on it.

This! It's a nasty habit they have. I always catch people looking over my shoulder at my phone or computer screen in China, they seem to think it's somehow an acceptable behavior and my privacy doesn't belong to me. Sometimes they don't like what they are seeing (me chatting in Chinese with a local girl) and grump about it, laughable at best.
