Shenzhen Airport Security Check 25% More Efficient with New Lane System
May 02, 2016 By eChinacities.com

Last March, the Shenzhen airport opened a security check lane for female passengers only and a special lane for passengers without carry-on luggage. Since the new changes, security check at the airport—which serves 6,000 passengers a day—has become 25% more efficient.

Female passengers or passengers carrying bags smaller than 45 cm x 35 cm x 18 cm have the chance to choose special lanes for security check in order to make the overall process more efficient.

The lane for female passengers has female security officers for privacy purposes. Passengers only carrying small items can use a designated lane to be able to move through security faster.  The new system has been praised by many travelers since its implementation last year.

Stupid rule. After all everyone is only allowed a small hand luggage anyways. Now they make special lanes for people who actually follow the rules? TIC

If its efficient then introduce in other airports too. Queue's are an irritant for travellers.
