The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced yesterday that it has suspended the accreditation of the National Anti-Doping Laboratory in Beijing. The Beijing lab’s suspension will last up to four months.

WADA said in a statement that, "This decision is effective immediately, and the lab will be prohibited from performing WADA-related anti-doping activities including all analyses of urine and blood samples.” Samples from athletes will be need to be tested at other accredited labs.

The Beijing National Anti-Doping Laboratory can appeal to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport within 21 days.

According to WADA’s statement, the Beijing lab must take “five remedial steps,” in order to reverse their suspension. "If the Beijing laboratory satisfies the Disciplinary Committee in meeting these requirements, the laboratory may apply for reinstatement prior to the expiry of the four month suspension period.”

The State General Sports Administration of China’s Anti-Doping Agency has received WADA’s announcement and will put out an official response soon.

The international court has no authority to tell China who they can and cant dope! This is obviously a ploy by Japan and America! Western media is so biased! Makes me sick.

apparently they submitted some false test results to WADA. Would be nice to know this from the article though, rather than have to find it on a different site (http://www.bbc.com/sport/36109146).
