The Central Meteorological Station predicts that the heavy rainfall and thunder storms that have been experienced in south China for the past couple days will last until Friday, March 20.

By Friday, East Guizhou, central-south Jiangnan and several other areas in south China are expected to have up to 150 mm of rain. Northeast Guanxi and north Guandong are expected to experience anywhere from 180-250 mm, and some areas are expected to experience up to 350 mm of rain. Southeast Guizhou and south Hunan are estimated to have 40 to 70 mm of rain every hour.

According to meteorological experts, in comparison to previous years, precipitation has been much higher than usual in most of Jiangnan and southeast China this month. The heavy rain has increased the risk of disaster in many areas of south China.
