Mothers in China Delay Births to Avoid Leap Year Babies
Feb 29, 2016 By eChinacities.com

A number of expectant mothers in China are inducing birth early or delaying their cesarean sections in order to not have their babies on February 29. Having a baby on February 29 during Leap Year means that their child would technically only be able to celebrate a birthday every four years.

Yesterday, a nurse a Hangzhou Women’s Hospital told reporters that a few mothers in the maternity ward either chose to induce birth on February 28 or delay their cesarean section until March 1.

I'm stupid then. What about that yuezi stuff that goes on with almost all Chinese? Is it yuezi? That brainless belief that the poor mother must be deprived of a normal life for a month. Or three months. You tell me that's not the most retarded belief in the world? Talk about throwbacks to the Neopolitan Age!

Back home people born on the 29th of February just celebrate on the 28th and no one cares. In China being born on the 29h is seen as a curse and might result in one becoming a social outcast. China #1.

Yeah really dumb. In fact having your birthday on Feb. 29 makes it even more special than others' birthdays.
