An extremely dramatic man in Yongqing County, Hebei laid in the middle of the road and pretended that a policeman had hit him after being pulled over for a traffic violation.

The 41 year old man was stopped by traffic police while driving a silver Wuling van on February 16 in Langfang, Yongqing. Police were directing vehicles leaving the county hospital to take a right turn out of the entrance because of traffic. The man did not listen to the traffic police and was pulled over.

The driver was emotional and stepped out of the car. He shouted at police and jumped towards them. “It seemed like he was trying to scare them.”

The police did not move. Then, the man got on the ground in frot of his car and accused the police of beating him. The driver’s family members, two men and a woman, got out of the car and started shouting at the police and saying that they had beaten the driver up. The driver continued to lie on the ground.

The driver was taken to the hospital and had no injuries. He had laid on the ground for nearly 30 minutes to spite the police, resulting in a huge traffic jam outside of the hospital. Police have video surveillance evidence that the man was disturbing public order. He was detained for 10 days.

This is real. Be wary of this. People can claim that your dog gave them heart trouble from the 'scare' or 'shock' of your pet. According to the asinine laws here, you are responsible for paying ALL of their medical bills. These people will often go to the hospital with the excuse of a worried heart and then get a total body checkup and as many xrays and stuff as possible. JUST BE AWARE. This could happen, but usually doesn't. I've had my run in with these kinds of people. It's kind of scary the power they have. The legal system seems to have no response other than, 'it's your fault. pay the bills'. Because we are foreigners, we are targeted more by these people as they think we must be rich.

That is so Chinese driver. They are easily the worst drivers on earth. Many of the taxi drivers are good, some aren't. But, in general it seems they follow the three laws of Chinese driving: don't look, honk, and accelerate.

Ah, just another manchild of China. I have a hard time feeling any sort of respect for grown ups here because of this very reason. They all act like immature children.
