Year of the Monkey: Mystery Ape Spotted at Beijing Zhongguancun Office Park

Workers at Beijing’s Zhongguancun Yongfeng High-Tech Industry Base was surprised to find a monkey hanging around the office park’s parking garage yesterday morning. One woman said that she first thought that the creature was a cat, but on closer inspection she realized it was a monkey. She and her colleagues tried to use banana bread to lure the monkey in, but failed. In the end, the monkey ran away.

Security was puzzled by the monkey’s presence because the industrial park is fairly remote and not at all near the Beijing Zoo.
