Two Foreigners Arrested for Leaving Shenzhen While on Temporary Tourist Visas
Jan 18, 2016 By eChinacities.com

Two foreigners were arrested in Quzhou for staying illegally in the city on a temporary tourist visa meant for a short stay in Shenzhen. Shenzhen offers a temporary tourist visa that gives visits a five day stay in the city.

The men were caught and arrested by the Quzhou Kecheng District PSB Exit-Entry Administration Bureau on January 13.

It turns out that the two men had originally been living in China on business visas, but their visas had run out. They had returned to China via Shenzhen on temporary tourist visas. On this visa, travelers are not supposed to leave Shenzhen.

Quzhou police fined the two men 500 Yuan and ordered them to return to Shenzhen. The two men had been in Quzhou illegally for less than 24 hours.

China really needs to change it's visa laws. Foreigners are leaving China in droves and the needless difficulty of Z visas will only push desperate people who actually WANT to be in China to work there illegally. You dont punish people who adore you!

Right, Z visa is very hard to get . There are many peoples who just want to work in China, nobody come here to stole your phone from your hand on the streets ! Make Z visa more easy to get for everyone who wish to WORK here, because they want to WORK for you ! not to deseiving you here in China !

I don't buy this story 100%. I still see tons of business working visa teachers and travelers working and working, still the same.

As Guest said, it's fine to make gross generalizations, all Asians are Japanese anyway.
