Apple Headquarters Design

Shandong Office Park

Netizens have called out Apple for copying the design of a Shandong software park for its new headquarters currently under construction in the United States. Chinese Netizens claim that the new headquarters looks eerily similar to a software park in Shandong.

Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily reported on December 21 that Apple’s new headquarters looks like Shandong’s Qilu Software Park constructed nearly twenty years ago. Both compounds have large buildings constructed in a circle with a green park and a lake in the center. The only difference is that Apple’s headquarters has glass walls and Qilu Software Park has solid white walls.

Netziens joked that Steve Jobs designed the headquarters on purpose to resemble Qilu Software Park. Others said that both buildings were designed in the style of Fujian’s Hakka architecture. Apple fans said that both buildings seemed to be inspired by traffic rotaries, and that the Apple building did not copy the Chinese one.

Stiggs

If they copied anyone, and let's face it a round building is pretty common and not exactly ground breaking technology so probably not,it's more likely Apple copied the same building from a Western country the Chinese no doubt copied.

Could it be? Is it nonsense? Can someone tell me why it matters? What did you say? Yes I have a face, but I still don't understand why any of this matters.
