Shenzhen Customs: Mainland Buyers Must Pay 10% Tax on HK iPhone 6s

Shenzhen Luohu Customs put out a notice to remind Mainland buyers that they must pay a 10% tax on iPhone 6s/6s Plus devices purchased in Hong Kong.

Mainland buyers must declare their newly purchased iPhone 6s/6s Plus devices in customs in order for the tax to be levied.

Luohu Customs reported that from September 25 to October 7, 372 iPhone 6s/6s Plus devices have been declared in customs. 87 have been confiscated by customs officials for attempted smuggling.
