South Korea has suffered two losses to China and Qatar in the 2015 FIBA Asia Basketball Championships in Changsha. Their excuse? Salty Hunan food is bringing them down.
South Korea media has blamed the men’s basketball team’s “exotic,” diet in China for their poor performance in the tournament. The team did not bring their own cook and are eating the meals provided by the Chinese organizers.
After their losses, the team started to go to a local Korean restaurant once a day and airlift meals from Korea.
“When traveling in China, it is difficult to find a delicious lunch five days a week. It’s hard to go on eating instant noodles and rice every day,” said a South Korean reporter.

Hilarious. They're adults and not kids right? I'm pretty sure if someone cooks your food, you can ask them to not use salt. It's difficult to find delicious meals in China? Hilarious. Oh.. Oh wait.. I just had an idea! Maybe the Chinese organizers had the food overly salted on purpose! They did it to make the Koreans lose! Ah ha! Sneaky sneaky.

"You can ask them not to use salt", lol. Have you ever been to China?

Yeah, I live here. Any time I order spicy food but don't want it too spicy, they've been able to use less spice. So why not less salt? It's a perfectly reasonable request considering it's my food that I will eat.

Less and no are different. They don't mind less but they often ignore requests for the complete removal of an ingredient. If you asked for the food not to be spicy they will have just used less spice too.

Yes they are playing the blame game a little, but I understand. It is difficult to focus on your job when you need to run to the bathroom 4 -7 times an hour

But Chinese food is the most healthy and delicious food in the world. It's not like foreign food, that is only hamburger and salad. Besides, it has 5,000 years. I don't know how that impacts the flavor or health benefits, but saying that something has 5,000 years somehow means it is superior.
