Foreign Businesses Can Get Certified to Deal with Chinese Tourists
Sep 30, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Foreign hotels, travel agencies and other related businesses can now be certified as “China Ready,” for their ability to adapt to the needs of Chinese tourists. The “China Ready,” certification system was recently launched at the 2015 Tianjin Tourism Industry Expo and is supported by the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

“China Ready,” screenings will help businesses cater to the needs and expectations of Chinese customers. Businesses certified as “China Ready,” will have gone through training to understand and respect the customs of Chinese customers. “China Ready,” businesses must be committed to protecting the safety and interests of Chinese patrons.

Western Australian Tourism Commission chairman Peter Prendiville said that Chinese tourists often have unique needs. They like to drink hot water, they choose tea over coffee, and eat their meals family style while dining. Many local hotels that can meet the needs of Chinese tourists will be deemed “China Ready.”

Why would the Chinese want to travel outside their country? They live in the greatest land in the history of mankind!

I'm not saying China is not great but you have to admit some Chinese people have very poor hygiene

What does the training entail? Suppression of gag reflexes (necessary to deal with hygiene with Chinese characteristics)? More patience than Jesus and Buddha combined to deal with tourist behavior? At least it can be made public which hotels are "China ready", so that civilized tourists can know to avoid them.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Businesses can get a certificate by REDUCING their standards? If a company accommodates people exposing their bellies, shouting on their phones, eating with their mouths open, spitting on the floor and defecating in public areas, is that an achievement they would want official recognition for? Samsara is confused.
