On the way home from his recent visit to the United States, Pope Francis expressed his desire to visit China, according to Italian news agency ANSA. “I’d really love to go to China. I love the Chinese people,” said the Pope while on his return flight.
Francis’ visit to China would mark the first official visit of the Pope to the Mainland. The Washington Post commented that Beijing and the Vatican have not had diplomatic relations since 1951. Francis told reports on the plane, “I hope there is a possibility to have good relations with China. We have contacts, we talk, it is necessary to keep going.”
When the pope flew to South Korea in August 2014, he was given permission to fly in Chinese airspace. Francis sent a telegram to Xi and the Chinese people while flying over the nation sending good wishes and praying for peace.

Who is the pope? Shouldn't a christian be of god and not of people, where is the pope mentioned in the bible? Nuff said! I am a relatively new Christian and while I am trying my very best to "love" every nationality, surely Chinese aren't the easiest to love!!

Christians should do a lotta things according to The Bible. You should kill homosexuals, adulterers, witches, non-believers, followers of other religions and anyone who works on a Sunday.

The Pope loves Chinese people but never went to China? PR stunt. He just wants more converts.

Father, don't bother...Let them show you their love for God when they realize God's love was the life they cherished.

I know a couple good Chinese Catholics. Despite not having an official place of worship, they get together in a classroom at their college and worship in their own way. Despite living in a Godless, soulless country such as this, they rise above it all. Faith transcends all things, even China.
