Man Tries to Rape Co-Worker, No One Helps Her

Man Tries to Rape Co-Worker, No One Helps Her
Sep 23, 2015 By eChinacities.com

In an absolutely horrifying video circulating on Chinese social media, a man tries to rape a female co-worker in front of an elevator in what appears to be an office building. While the man is attacking the woman, trying to pull her clothes off, the elevator opens to reveal a delivery man. Instead of helping the woman, the delivery man quickly closes the elevator door.

Soon, other colleagues gather and do nothing to help her. However, by that point, according to the Anhui news anchor, the man is kneeling in apology to the woman. The woman finally is able to break free of the man and escape, but not before giving him a well-deserved beating.

The media reported that the incident occurred within the workplace, and that the two were colleagues.

A student told me that she was bullied this morning. pressed to explain, she said that the dumpling man wouldn't sell her breakfast unless she gave him her wechat number. she protested but finally relented as she was hungry. she is very pretty so its understandable to a degree but even after telling him she wasn't single he still persisted. cases of sexual bullying and rape are not common events for young women and many many instances go unreported. its a further symptom of the very poor socialisation of men in this country and no doubt tightly bound with a false sense of entitlement. sorry to say this, but chinese men prove time again to the bottom of the barrel in asia and that is indeed saying something!

If possible keep that girl under surveillance. It is really alarming news that a dumpling seller is preparing himself to abuse her..

I remember reading an article on Chinasmack regarding the differences between the way Japanese and Chinese are raised. One thing that stood out was their claim that Japanese are taught honor and to charge into battles with fierce determination while Chinese are raised to run away from a fight (cowards). I myself try not to generalize, but when I read stories like this I have to wonder. What do you think? Are Chinese people raised to be cowards (serious question)?

Yes, as many students have told me. When they are taught about heroes the point of the story is that the hero always ended up dead.
