More than 130 people climbed their way up Quanzhou’s Qingyuan Mountain on their hands and knees starting from the base of the mountain. The climb lasted for more than three hours.
The oldest climber was 81 years old, and the youngest was only two or three years old. One family had three generations participating in the climb. The climb was a monastery activity organized by the mountain temple in order to express gratitude. Staff said that the climbers included temple monks, believers, and volunteers.
A number of tourists and locals were impressed by the climbers and joined in as well. By the top of the mountain, the climbers reached nearly 200 people.

If you actually learn about Mount Qingyuan and Laozi, you might realize that this is exactly the right way to be doing things. The right mountain to climb and the right person to hold as a hero and respect. Laozi was a classic liberal scholar whose reverence could really put China back on the right path and be more in harmony with each other and nature. Go climb Mount Qingyuan on your knees, hopefully some holiness or insight may be passed to you.

So wonderful! Imagine how times some dudes hit asses of others with their heads!! Imagine how many times some dudes fart to their faces!!! I am not even talking about sticky floor with full spits and oil!!!

What a dumb thing to do. 3 hours of hands and kneeing over all that spit and piss. Disgusting if you ask me. Anyway, what have the people got to be grateful for that can't be expressed with a thanks Mum, thanks love...or something like that? A bloody shower at the end would help a lot and I'd bet they'd be grateful for that. Who ever thought up a stunt like that? An activity straight out of the Dark Ages. Stupidity.
