15 Jailed in Beijing for Selling Pirated Software on Taobao

15 defendants were convicted of selling pirated encryption software on Taobao at a Beijing Haidian district court on August 25.

Those found guilty were given sentences ranging from eight months to five years and fines ranging from 20,000 to 1.2 million Yuan. The total fines given totaled 4.1 million Yuan.
