Passengers on Chinese flights are no longer allowed to bring mobile charging devices in checked luggage. A man was recently detained in Wuhan's Tianhe Airport after trying to grab his device back when it was confiscated by staff.
The man, surnamed Hu, was told by security staff that he could not check his mobile charging device in his luggage.And he could either abandon it or leave it with security staff. Hu was not happy about this and tried to grab it back from the security staff member. This aggressive move spooked security, and he was apprehended.
Later, in police custody, Hu admitted that he was wrong. He was sentenced to five days administrative detention.

Original article clearly says battery charger WITHOUT COMMERCIAL LABEL is not allowed on the plane, you can either discard it or let people who come to see you off take it back. ("无标识充电宝不允许带上飞机，可自弃或交送行人员带回").

8/21: I flew from Zhuhai to Wuxi, via Changsha: Security asked to look at the device in my carry-on. But, that is all. On the other hand, they had a fit over my shampoo/liquid soap/shaving cream. Fine. I understand this. They failed to find my two lighters for my cigarettes though. Cracked me up.

As the others have stated. The first paragraph is completely wrong! I've flown twice in the last 6 days with a phone charger power pack. To be clam ear the rules are this: 1) no charging battery packs allowed in CHECK-IN luggage 2) no battery battery packs over a certain size in carry-on luggage. From memory the limit is 20,000 maH bit that needs clarifying.

My last national flight goes back to last a month ago and still at that time I had no problem to bring in my power bank. Any new law about that?

Hang on a sec? Since when can't we bring them in carry on luggage? The rule used to be you couldn't check them in.
