U.S. Teacher Deported for Critical Text Message in Tibet
Aug 03, 2015 By eChinacities.com

An American teacher in Shenzhen was deported from China after sending text messages criticizing the country while on a tour in Tibet. The Nanfang reported that the woman was questioned by police in her Lhasa hotel after she sent a text criticizing Chinese people to a friend while on the train.

The tour happened in February, and the woman's visa was canceled later in March when she had already started the school year again. She left Shenzhen for Hong Kong, having to give up her job in Shenzhen.

This is the most vague news article ever. I have a feeling that it is bull. You know how the rumour mill works. Someone falls over in front of a large group and the next thing you know someone is telling a story about how someone was beaten to death in front of a large crowd. I guess that is why they call it Chinese whispers.

Must be a slow news week in ECC land. The Nanfang reported this at the time, months ago.

And this country was granted the Beijing 2022 Olympics? This is outrageous... not only were her text messages obviously monitored but how can you deport a person for a text message? Did she somehow threaten the government? Ridiculous.

New Zealand has got two Foreign secret magic tricks that are safely guarded away from the Chinese by their CCP overlords, these are called freedom of speech and untainted milk.

No way! That would be imperialism, racism, and uh Darwanism all put together. I refuse to state why, just declaring that there is imperialism and racism is usually good enough in a discussion.

Maybe her "friend" reported her. No comment about which country the friend may be from.

i have said..... [Comments] One of your recent comments has been deleted by Administrator: forced to give up l^m^s for the ccp lords. That fact isn't part of the chinese history books. also fact that t0beet hasn't always been part of china .... Reason: One of your recent comments was sensitive in nature, and was deleted for that reason. In the future, please refrain from engaging in overtly political or sensitive discussions. We understand the topic may be perfectly valid outside of China, but allowing such conversations would put our website at risk of being taken down by local authorities. Haha, I am so glad I am not in China, anymore. With thought police such as these, it is no wonder the people don't think.
