A plague of locusts has invaded Inner Mongolia's grasslands, impacting over 30 million mu (20,000 square meters) of land. As of July 15, out of 33 million mu of grassland, about 15 million mu were seriously damaged by the pests.
The hot, dry climate in Inner Mongolia was among the factors that led to the locust invasion.

This shouldn't be a problem since sparrows always come along with locusts and are natural predators for them... hold on, in China sparrows were hunted to near extinction during the Four Pests Campaign. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Pests_Campaign
