Anti-Chinese protests in Turkey have prompted China to issue a travel warning for the country as of late.
Prior to the outbreak of the protests, Turkish media had reported that the practice of fasting during Ramadan is banned in China’s Xinjiang province. Consequentially, hundreds of Turkish demonstrators took to the streets of Istanbul to protest against the Chinese government. A group of Koreans that were mistaken as Chinese were also attacked in the protest.
The Turkish government summoned the Chinese ambassador to express formal concern over the ban.
The Chinese ambassador responded by requesting Turkey to provide proof of the rumor. He stated that China has historically respected Xinjiang and that the government ensures the religious freedom of Muslims in the region. He also said that foreign media reports on the topic are incorrect.

You can take all kurds to your country including pkk kurdish terrorists. On 14 October 2009, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) targeted the senior leadership of the PKK, designating Murat Karayılan, the head of the PKK, and high-ranking members Ali Riza Altun and Zübeyir Aydar as significant foreign narcotics traffickers.
