China’s Divorce Rate Continues 12-Year Climb

China’s Divorce Rate Continues 12-Year Climb
Jul 01, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Information on divorces for the year 2014 has been made public by China’s Ministry of Public Affairs, showing that there were 3.63 million divorces legally filed last year. This was a 3.9% increase in divorce filings from the previous year, and stays in tune with a steady 12-year trend of increasing divorce rates.

Over 40% of marriages end up in divorce within three years, and post-80’s generation couples are the main demographic driving the statistic.

Analysts looking at these numbers attribute them in part to a communication gap between couples.

Wow, 40%, I'm speechless. Sometimes married tends to be viewed too much as transaction, a practicality in East Asian culture. Don't get me wrong, the West still leads in this department, but damn did China catch up quickly?! Lol

I am tired of divorced and single chines moms that chase foreigners to get married and have a second baby. They know that Chinese will never choose them to marry so they target stupid foreigners. Also there is another fat and ugly girl who has masters degree in finding handsome foreigners. Why don`t young and pretty chinese girls go after foreign guys? Because these girls know that they can milk chinese old dudes with round face more easily.

LMAO "Analysts looking at these numbers attribute them in part to a communication gap between couples." What's there to communicate between two zombies?

"Over 40% of marriages end up in divorce within 3 years..." Over 90% of those remaining married looking for, or having extra-marital affairs, or figuring the best death threat to exhort maximum cash.

Communication gap? Everyday I see couples, friends, and classmates at dinner together- faces pointed down at their individual phones, hands senselessly throwing food in the direction of their mouths, hoping a crumb or two will enter and be digested.

Well, more divorced ladies on the scene then? Foreign guys and Chinese guys can both be happy about this

A divorced lady in China may as well be a hooker. Years of repressed sexuality funneled into a single, failed marriage. A mention of divorce and she's running to every foreigner in sight to beg for a revenge baby (actually happened to me), an actual divorce and she's pole dancing, hammered off two beers, in a bar that smells like vomit.
