The latest group to be hit in a continuing crackdown on porn and prostitution is a male prostitution ring in Zhuhai.
The arrest comes as part of a nationwide ‘anti-corruption’ campaign that has seen police bust thousands of brothels, online prostitution rings and websites publishing risqué material.
The police first became aware of the organization when they came across an online group named the ‘Zhuhai Cool Boys Club’. The club poses as a massage parlour, but also offers ‘extra services’, for a fee, of course.
The police also discovered that a local bar was being used as a meeting place for between Zhuhai Cool Boys and their clients. The bar was raided in May, and the owners arrested.
Since February, 3,553 establishments ‘of ill repute’ have been shut down in Guangdong alone, alongside 1,200 websites offering sexual services for money.

Keep that dirty rubbish in Japan. There are many not so great things about China, but one HUGE thing I value here is they have zero tolerance for Porn and the sex industry.

Um, like - REALLY? Have you been to the hotel (any hotel) and seen business cards on the floor? Gotten a mysterious hangup on the phone? Seen girls in small crappy bars sitting on the legs of men old enough to be their grandfather? Sitting in small empty shops on the outskirts of town wearing pretty dresses? Or in small rooms with pink/red lights? Go sit outside the universities and wait - watch the young girls get into cars with 40 year old men (sugar daddy's). About the only thing I haven't seen is children sexually abused here - but I'm quite sure it happens. The "zero tolerance" you think you see doesn't exist. I know of a common bar street in a well-known city. Not a big street, last time I counted there was 22 houses of ill repute. Once a month one of them are raided. People have to pay a fine there's a little show of force and that's it. BUT...the one that is raided is picked beforehand. The local police have a meeting every month with the owners of these places and arrange it all. Of course there are also kick backs. If there's a foreigner in one when it's busted they tell him to leave. The Chinese guys they milk for money. The owners don't care because they make sure their regulars are elsewhere. I'm sorry but this happens quite regularly everywhere here. In the same city there are four more areas I have noticed aside from every hotel, the occasional bath house and even very innocent looking massage places. I've been approached in a dance club for crying out loud. The Chinese go for appearances - and you've bought into them.
