The Hong Kong government has issued a red alert this week for travel to South Korea because of reports of MERS. The public is advised to avoid traveling to South Korea on non-essential trips. The Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong has canceled tours to South Korea from now until June 30.
China's National Tourism Administration has not yet issued a travel warning, but some domestic tours to South Korea have been canceled and travelers were refunded in full.
Chinese travel agencies said that the number of travelers on tours to South Korea has dropped drastically this month, leaving some tours with zero participants.

This is good, cheaper flights and less rural chinese on the flights

what a load of BS. I was just in Korea last week and everything was still functioning as usual. Oh well, cheaper airfares for me and planes with less obnoxious Chinese travelers. Win, win for me.
