The Supreme People's Court has increased the compensation amount for citizens whose personal liberties have been infringed on by the state.

Xinhua reported yesterday that the new compensation amount is 219.72 Yuan per day, an increase of 19.03 Yuan.

The compensation amount was adjusted based on the average wages of state employees. In 2014, the average wage for state employees was 57,346 Yuan, an increase of 4,967 Yuan from the previous year.

The state compensation law stipulates that in the case of violation of civil liberties, daily compensation is calculated in accordance with the national annual average daily wage of workers.
