Apr 29, 2015 By eChinacities.com

On April 25, a 29 year old woman was kidnapped from Hong Kong from her home on Clear Water Bay Road in Sai Kung. The kidnappers stole more than 2 million Hong Kong Dollars in property from the woman's home. They first demanded 40 million HKD for the woman's safe return, but later agreed to accept 28 million.

The woman was found on April 28 in Tseung Kwan O, after the ransom was paid by her family. The police set up roadblocks along major highways and roads, and searched Sai Kung using helicopters with searchlights. No arrests have been made as of press time.

Highly likely the robbers/kidnappers (spoke mandarin) fled back to mainland china via sea already. For decades virtually all major crimes involving serious physical violence in HK were committed by mainlanders; another reason the majority of hongkongers view mainlanders with disgust, can't blame them. They also told me they would never entertain mainlanders' loaded and mannerless questions such as 'where do you live'; they knew them well enough.

Agreed, HK friends of mine told me that from around 1980 to the late 1990s nearly all robberies in HK were committed by Mainland organized gangs. They would use boats to sail from somewhere around SZ to HK. No wonder HK people hate them.

@Guest142.. Your HK friends were right. Not only that, all the way to mid 2005s, loads of mainlanders broke into HK via land and sea. * Did they tell you about the bodies washed ashore during the cultural revolution (about 10+ years, 1966-76)? For the majority it was the first time in their life to see bodies of drowned people (ran out of breath, bodies in water for days). They said it was one of the most horrible sights one could see; until you saw it yourself there was no way you could imagine it. [Let me know if you want the details. They told me what it looked like]. * It sounded like escape from Alcatraz, except china was worse. Many HK people smuggled toilet paper, soap bars, medicine, food, clothes....etc. by personally carrying them back to their relatives in china. You couldn't even bring them an evil western watch. If you were wearing one, you needed to declare it at customs, have it registered, brandname, made in xxx, and bring it out with you. The same relatives now sink their well-hidden claws on them. So, you see, they aren't racists! We're facing something far more malicious and ominous than racism here. * I was in HK last October, doing some shopping around the prime site of the umbrella movement (filled with banners and camps) when I saw a 50+ mainlander staring at the camps. I asked him what he thought of it. In a malevolent, cruel tone the guy sneered, "now they wake up" (exact words), and walked off. Is the world waking up? Too slow. Do cabal controlled governments know what they're getting their people into when dealing with china? I think so. * What's wrong with china, the government or the people? Don't let them fool you. Each blames the other; the face 'culture'. The answer is BOTH. The PRC government is made up of mainlanders, not laowais!

Many are here to criticize and show their dissatisfaction with life while harboring only improper attitudes toward everything and anything in the name of China and its people. It's hard and coarse, if so, will there be a moment, any moment at all for these people that's worth a staying for? I pretty much doubt so...

One here claims to know what life or proper attitudes are but doesn't even know how to read properly. Unsurprisingly this moron also thinks you have to be in china to criticise it. LOL
