No Appeal for Imprisoned Guangxi Human Trafficking Gang
Apr 10, 2015 By eChinacities.com

On April 19,  a local city court in Fangchenggang, Guangxi rejected the appeals of a group of men arrested in September for kidnapping and trafficking Vietnamese women. The men had kidnapped and trafficked Vietnamese prostitutes in Fangchenggang, by posing as clients and fake police. The “police,” armed with plastic handcuffs would barge into the hotel where the client was being serviced, kidnap the woman and throw her into a rental car. The men then brought the captured Vietnamese woman to Zhanjiang, Guangdong and sold them.

The gang of men, led by Xie Zongliang and Deng Liwei, abducted and sold 16 Vietnamese women. Their first trial ended on September 24, 2014 in Fangchenggang. Xie Zongliang was sentenced to life in prison for the trafficking of women and was forced to give up all political rights and personal property. Deng Liwei was sentenced to fourteen years in prison and was fined 80,000 Yuan. The remaining nine defendants received sentences ranging from three to 10 years in prison and were fined 10,000 to 70,000 Yuan.

Anything going to happen to the people who 'bought' the women? If there were no buyers, there would be no traffickers.

I don't get it. Drug traffic is almost immediately a death sentence. Let's keep in mind that the customers (while addicted) still have the choice to purchase the product and use it... to destroy their own lives. These men abducted women (not just hookers) and sold them into horrible life situations and receive much less. Where is the logic in this?
