Chinese Tourists Do Not Want to Visit Hong Kong

Chinese Tourists Do Not Want to Visit Hong Kong
Mar 31, 2015 By eChinacities.com

In March, the number of Mainland Chinese tour groups traveling to Hong Kong fell by 45%. Industry insiders believe that the decline in tourism is due to the recent “anti-parallel trading,” demonstrations, and the recent reports of harassment of Chinese tourists.

Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce and Economic Department Gregory So Kam-leung said that the number of tourists to the city from the Mainland has dropped in the past three weeks because of the number of anti-parallel trading protests in recent months. Overall, the total number of Mainland tourist groups to Hong Kong dropped by 13% last year and the number of individual tourists fell 19%.

Fewer Chinese tourists means less shopping in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's retail sales also fell last year: sales dropped 14.6% over the course of the year.

The problem is the majority don't join tour groups. Still, this is music to Hongkongers' ears, most of whom consider it not worthwhile to have low lives shitting everywhere, barging around with luggage trolleys breaking HK ladies' toenails, insulting their sales with the lowest insults on earth. I've seen some middle-aged mainland fat bitches (taking advantage of the fact they're woman) gropping the body of HK sales kids; treating them as giggolos! Lowest of low lives. Hotel cleaning maids and street cleaners probably are the happiest; having their daily prayers answered. For those in the tourism industry, Hong Kong recovers its capacity to receive international tourists with class, as before. Anyway, the tourism industry only made up 4% of Hong Kong's GDP if I'm not mistaken. Other countries will eventually do the same, kicking out mainland shitbombs. Their government, controlled by large businesses (as in HK) probably wouldn't do it. Their PEOPLE, like Hongkongers, SHALL BE FORCED to do the job themselves to keep THEIR HOME CLEAN, in EVERY (not just physical) sense of the word.

I am pretty sure Hong Kong people don't want Chinese mainlander tourists. So mission accomplished. To be honest... I don't think any place really likes Chinese tourists... they are loud, poorly-mannered and treat each destination like it should automatically accommodate them yet their favorite phrase to tell a foreigner in China is.. "When in Rome..." Chinese have money now, but when the economy falls (and it well) they will shunned and discriminated against much more than before their economical boom.

I wish they'd also stop going to Australia.

Well, in addition, most people just had a holiday in February (so might not go to HK in March). Also, since it's getting easier for Chinese to go to other countries, of course they travel to HK less and less.

While mainlanders will probably assume they taught a good lesson, the Honkies will actually be relieved they screwed away, got back their streets and can consider building back a real economy at the expense of greedy landlords. Everyone is sick of the endless Watson's, Sasa's and jewelries everywhere.

Here here ! I too am sickened by the shitty jewelery and handbag shops springing up all over the place. Never ever do I see a customer inside them. Unless its me asking for the nearest toilet.
