On March 24, the Shenhu local police station in Fujian received a report from a women who said that she had been slapped by a man. Police responded to the call and arrived at a garment factory in Shenhu to find a woman squatting near the ground with her eyes glazed over, her face void of emotion.

The 21 year old woman was named Lin, and she had met a man named “Hai,” on WeChat Shake last month. The man asked for Lin to send photos, and of course Lin tweaked the photos slightly as any enterprising lady would do. Lin and Hai met up one evening outside of the factory, both holding blue umbrellas so that they would recognize each other. Cute right?

However, when Hai saw Lin, his face paled. He accused of her of lying in her photo. He said that she had sent a photo of a goddess, but she looked more like a country bumpkin in real life. Ouch! Lin was furious and replied, “You don't look too good yourself either!” Hai slapped Lin and then ran away, like the gentleman he clearly is. Lin quickly called the police.

Police believe that the man also works in the same factory that Lin does, and asked administrators to help them look for a man who calls himself “Hai,” on WeChat. Hai was found out to be 21 year old Li Mouhai from Henan. Li was a tailor in the factory. He immediately apologized to Li and paid her 200 Yuan compensation. He also claimed that he had learned his lesson from the incident (which is, don't try to find dates on WeChat Shake).

200 yuan? Slapping someone is quite cheap in China. I must say I had a couple of similar experiences, I've slept with many girls that I've met through wechat's people nearby... I lack Chinese skills, so it is an easy way to find the ones who speak some English... In some occasions, they show a great ability on photoshopping pictures, but well, I'm good humoured... so I haven't slapped any of them so far haha

What is wrong with my fellow so called enlightened westerners thinking tweaking a photo (which is silly) is somehow comparable to slapping a girl (which is evil).

Really shocked by " on the other hand" attitude. You should never look down at peasants. Shows you the lowest dregs come to China

No one said the guy did the right thing. That being said, if the girl had been honest none of what followed would have happened. There probably would be no meeting at all which would be better off for everyone concerned. Or, if she apologized immediately the result would likely be drastically different. How often did you hear mainlanders apologize though? See the face thing at work? Instead what did she do? She launched verbal attacks at the guy she fooled, fueling the fire. See the war mentality at work? She wasn't a lady either. To be fair, she has her fair share of responsibility, just like the guy. But the two acts CANNOT negate each other.

The man is wrong for slapping her, any true gentleman would never hit a woman. On the other hand the woman was wrong for tweaking her photos. It reminds me of those chicks doing surgery then when they have (ugly) babies their husbands are like "you cheated on me right?". Heavy makeup, PS or surgery, you can't hide it forever, better play fair from the beginning to avoid further problems.

Plastic surgery has other consequences. When both husband and wife had undergone plastic surgeries their children resemble none of their parents. This can result in BOTH wondering 'did you cheat on me?' Kind of unnatural if you have to do DNA tests to find out if your kids are really yours.:)

@1423... Women in general are more concerned about their looks. Nothing strange.

Come on... Why would they BOTH wonder?

I'm confused. You can call the police when someone slaps you?

Yes, calling the police isn't a problem at all. However, getting anyone in the police station to get off their arse and pay attention is a whole other matter.

The photo is Sister Fang before and after PSed, a Chinese internet celebrity infamous for having extremely high (and unrealistic) demands from men considering her "very average" beauty and lack of physical attributes (140cm with high heels, no boobs, no hips, ...). She requires the man to own at least a Ferrari/Porsche, 4 flats and have no less than 10 million RMB in his bank account otherwise she won't consider him, ridiculous. No wonder she is still single despite becoming a buzz more than 5 years ago.

I think the editor of this article should be punished for the crime of comparing this girl to Feng Jie (google this shocker if you don't know) in the picture. That is just wrong and too cruel. Hai is just a dick. Not surprised this poster boy for "Forever Alone" uses wechat shake to find dates.

Which one was photoshopped? The left side picture is much more beautiful. Right side is too petite. So I guess it was left side photoshopped

Mar 28, 2015 11:45 Report Abuse

Guest2301262

Haha. You can have the left side one then. Keep in mind though some girls inflate like a balloon once they manage to get a secure lock on a guy, thinking they landed their fish thus there is no need to 'starve themselves to death' for the 'kill look' anymore, so the right side one may not be a bad choice in the long run.

He should have been sacked and jailed. the guy must have a horrible personality. He could have been polite and made his excuses afterwards, making sure not to hurt her feelings. Women are sensitive about their looks. Basically calling her ugly to her face.

If they worked at the same factory, and he hit her, then losing his job is correct. No excuse for hitting someone.
