Six government departments have co-published new rules that prohibit the sale of dangerous goods from personal accounts online.

The new law prohibits the sale of firearms, ammunition, explosives, toxic chemicals, hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials, nuclear materials, knives and cross bows. It also forbids anyone from publishing information on how to make these items.

The law will come into effect on March 1 2015.
