Air China Emergency Landing after Passenger Bomb Claims

Air China Emergency Landing after Passenger Bomb Claims

An Air China flight bound for Beijing was forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger claimed that there was a bomb on board.

The flight, which was originally scheduled to fly from Nanning to Beijing, stopped off in Chongqing where it was greeted by police, firefighters and SWAT teams.

There were over 100 passengers aboard the aircraft when it landed and three were taken away for questioning following the incident. The airplane was thoroughly checked out and given the green light to continue its journey at around 17:00.

One of the passengers taken away was identified as a woman surnamed Wang. She had apparently threatened to blow up the plane shortly after 14:00, after which the flight was diverted to Chongqing. The identities of the other two detained passengers weren’t revealed.

Wang’s motives aren’t clear at this time, although one fellow passenger claims that Wang had wanted to kill herself, because her boyfriend had broken up with her.

The maximum sentence for threatening to blow up a plane is five years imprisonment; however, this punishment is rarely enforced. A couple of weeks ago, a man who called in a bomb threat at Beijing Capital Airport was given only 10 days administrative detention.

So why did you come to China in the first place? Hope you find a place where both you and your GF are happy.

As far as civilized, considerate, and polite behavior goes, it's a no-contest, The Indians win. By a considerable margin.

Indians are so patient too, I've been in India when flights were very delayed and they were so patient. Everyone was chatting and the airline eventually gave us food which was quite good. I think because no one complained. If the plane can't leave Thimphu because the weather, it's understandable. Then when we finally got on the plane the staff were so happy how patient everyone was they gave everyone extra drinks and food. The only time I saw Indians lose their cool was when there was a "strike" at Schiphol Airport with no info given and parents were concerned about their children.

I don't think so, after having to share many flights with both Indians and Chinese. Admittedly they were working class, but cleaning your snot with aircraft blankets and just misbehaving and openly ogling women is just not on. You get one or two misbehaving Chinese on a flight, but on a flight with Indians, all of them are like savages.

I've flown many times with Indians since the 90s , they never tried to open emergency doors or make bomb threats.

Sorry, but the poor behavior speaks for itself. We just have to watch and laugh.

The above comments demonstrate a likely scenario. Working class Indians and any class mainland are a hazard on any flight.

So, why do you want to fly with Indians and Chinese?

Given the number of 'incidents' involving Chinese air passengers in the last number of months, and the fact that most of those on the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 were Chinese, it begs the question about passenger behavior on this flight.........
