Son Beats Father at Train Station for Loss of Face

Son Beats Father at Train Station for Loss of Face
Feb 10, 2015 By eChinacities.com

Police at Sanya train station were called to break after a fight broke out between a young man and his middle-aged father. After inquiring further, it turned out that the son was furious that he had to ride the train home and lashed out at his 50-year-old dad.

20-year-old Zhang Wei had a bit of a hissy fit when he reached the train station and realized his father wanted him to travel back to Xuzhou on the train with all the other migrant workers. He felt that he would lose face as they were all wearing migrant workers uniforms and he begged his father to buy plane tickets instead.

His father said that they he didn’t have enough money to do that and his son started hitting him and threatening to kill him if he didn’t let him take a plane home.

Police eventually broke them up and took them down to the station where the son eventually apologized to his father and they got the train home together.

A psychology expert weighed in on the conversation urging parents to “spoil their children less and communicate more” and suggested that Chinese parents should allow children to make independent decisions, rather than doing everything for them.

If people would just listen to these psychology experts who weigh in from time to time we'd all be the better for it and the peace and stability of the nation would be enhanced to a degree

What's wrong with his old man? I'm 50 and I reckon I could kick any Chinese 20 year old's arse without breaking a sweat. Anyway, anyone wanting a peek into Chinese life....this is it!

I remember one time i wanted a toy in a supermarket and mom said no. I freaked out and said...... I dont like you. She beat my ass so fast in front of everyone. I cant imagine what kind of death i would have recieved if i hit her. Even 20 year olds have the bodies of 12 year olds back home. Still small enough to put them over your knee. Thatll give him face. Ass out and getting spanked in front of everyone.

It's more than having an inferiority-superiority complex. This society is immersed in compassionless, ruthless cruelty which powers violences in all forms. I doubt terrorists would do some of the things they do here, such as what this kid did to his father.

"A psychology expert weighed in on the conversation urging parents to “spoil their children less and communicate more” and suggested that Chinese parents should allow children to make independent decisions, rather than doing everything for them." China... where people who understand that lack of parental boundaries, and that treating children like royalty, is a bad thing are considered psychology experts.
