Two of the Almighty God cult members involved in the brutal killing of a woman at a McDonalds in Shandong Province have been executed.
Zhang Lidong and daughter Zhang Fan alongside three others beat a woman to death in a McDonald’s in Zhaoyuan city when she refused to give them her phone number. The death sent shockwaves across the globe; both for the brutal nature of the murder and the fact that it happened in broad daylight and no one intervened.
The two were sentenced to death in October while accomplices Lu Yingchun, Zhang Hang and Zhang Qiaolan were given prison sentences of life, 10 and 7 years respectively.
The four Zhang’s are all relatives.

This is when I feel validated in being pro Death Penalty. What it makes me ask myself is - Capital Punishment as a deterrent? or Capital Punishment as revenge? I find that I have a gut-level yearning for bloody, violent, painful revenge against that monster. And then it makes me feel like maybe I am bad for wanting to physically harm another living being. Damn, such a conundrum. But ultimately I give into my primal urges and say F' him. Torture him a bit before executing him. Maybe even let it be known to the public so it can serve as a deterrent as well.

Okay maybe my mind is a little dotty because it has been awhile since I watched the video, and not a video I will ever watch again, even to correct my statement here but..... In broad daylight huh???? I am very sure the video I watched was after the man with the mobile tried to intervene and was threatened to stay back or he would be next then ran outside and it was night not daylight! Oh and more to the subject I am against the death penalty but after I watched the video I changed my views on it just once for those people, disgusting, vile representation of humans for sure.

You are right, I remember it pretty well. It was nighttime. And those brave lads were recording the hell out of the events like the true men they are~! One man and a bunch of women... scared off a half a dozen or so brave men! Very.... brave....
